Job overview:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our large-scale database systems (RDBMS or Timeseries Database). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, security, backup strategies, and ensuring high availability and reliability of data systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Any time series DB).
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies for optimization.
- Experience working in real-time, high-throughput application environments
- Design and implement database solutions for new applications and projects.
- Collaborate with teams for schema design, query optimization, and data migration.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance, backups, recovery, and troubleshoot issues like crashes or slowdowns.
- Connect databases with multiple applications / systems for ensuring smooth data flow.
- Migrate data between systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 78 years of experience as a DBA in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Time Series databases (QuestDB, etc.).
- Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Hands-on experience with backup/recovery tools, high availability, and replication techniques.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and scripting languages (Shell).
- Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.) and DevOps tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Location for Reporting:
This role is based at the Mumbai office and requires full-time, on-site presence. Candidates are expected to work from the office on all working days. Please note that this is not a work-from-home position.
