Job Description
Skillset/Technologies:
- Database Technologies: MSSQL DB, Iceberg, Startbust/Trino, PostgreSQL (Maintenance, performance tuning, backups/restores, purging, high availability, data refresh)
- Containerization: Kubernetes and Docker
- Operating Systems: Linux commands, Windows (password resets, logon changes, installations, task schedulers, etc.)
- Automation: Shell scripting, PowerShell, Ansible (for developing/maintaining scripts for Postgres deployment)
- Monitoring and Management Tools: Dynatrace, Rancher, ElasticSearch
- Support: Handling RFCs and incidents, supporting the SA team with monthly Windows and Linux patching
Role/Responsibilities:
- Database Administration, Operations support for production/lower environment
- Handling any infrastructure-related issues and deploying RFCs.
- Coordinating with the Dev team, SA team, QA team, and Hadoop team to ensure the smooth operation of applications.
