Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and optimize enterprise-level database systems. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance, and scalable database solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, project managers, and engineering teams to gather requirements and improve database systems.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain database systems ensuring high availability and security.
- Design and support 24x7 high-availability solutions for mission-critical environments.
- Optimize database and server performance, including hardware and OS configurations.
- Develop and tune queries, stored procedures, ETL processes, and perform code reviews.
- Execute schema changes, bottleneck analysis, and ensure efficient recovery/restores.
- Plan for scalability and future growth of database systems.
- Ensure compliance with vendor licensing and security standards (PCI-DSS Level 1).
- Handle reporting, data import/export in formats like CSV, XML, and unstructured data.
- Document processes and provide technical support, including on-call production support.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies and assist in architecture and design initiatives.
