Database Administrator (Cassandra)

Job Title: Database Admin (Cassandra / Redis / MariaDB / MongoDB Administrator)

Location: Chennai

Work Mode: WFO (5 days)

Work Experience: 4- 6 years

Duration: 6 Months with possible extension

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Install and configure Apache Cassandra clusters.

Monitor database performance and optimize queries.

Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Ensure data security and compliance standards.

Perform routine maintenance and upgrades.

Collaborate with development teams on data modeling.

Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.

Automate administrative tasks using scripts

Manage user access and permissions.

Document database configurations and procedures.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

In this role, you will be successful if you have:

- Proven experience as a Cassandra / Redis / MariaDB / MongoDB Administrator.

- Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases.

- Familiarity with Cassandra architecture and internals.

- Experience with Linux/Unix systems.

- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Python.

- Understanding of replication, consistency, and partitioning.

- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus or OpsCenter.

- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience:

- Graduate or postgraduate in Computer Science or related Engineering Specialization.

- Relevant hands-on experience in IT with significant focus on DB Administration
