Database Administrator Architect

About the Role

We are looking for a Database Administrator Architect (L4) to lead the design, performance,

reliability, and security of our enterprise database platforms. This role combines hands-on technical

expertise with architectural guidance and cross-team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement scalable, secure, and highly available database solutions.

Lead database design, data modeling, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

Drive automation for provisioning, monitoring, backups, and patching including security

configurations.

Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and lead database incident resolution.

Define standards, best practices, and governance for database platforms.

Partner with engineering, DevOps, and application teams on solution design.

Support cloud database architectures (Azure/AWS/GCP) and modernization initiatives

including cloud repatriation.

Ensure compliance with security, auditing, and backup/DR policies.

Required Skills

9+ years of experience as a DBA or Database Architect.

Strong expertise in Oracle / PostgreSQL / MSSQL / MySQL / MongoDB / DB2 / GoldenGate

(any three DB skills)

Hands-on experience with Cross Platform database Migrations.

Strong performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing skills.

Experience with HA/DR technologies (RAC, DAG, Streaming Replications, Bin log, GTID,

Always On, Replication, Clustering).

Scripting experience in PowerShell / Python / Bash.

Must have knowledge on Enterprise and OSDB Licensing models,

Solid understanding of database security and monitoring.

Work as part of a team and provide 24 * 7 supports when required,

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with NoSQL or distributed databases (Redis, Cassandra, etc.).

Cloud or database certifications (Azure/AWS/Oracle/PostgreSQL).

Soft Skills

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Must convince customer technically,

Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.
