We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our team in India. This role is ideal for freshers/entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and grow in the field of database management. The successful candidate will assist in the administration of database systems and ensure the performance, availability, and security of databases.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) and related applications.
- Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies.
- Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and security.
- Assist in database design and architecture planning for new projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
- Create and manage user accounts and permissions in the database.
- Generate reports and assist in data analysis for decision-making.
- Collaborate with development teams to support database-related queries and performance tuning.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of database concepts and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery techniques.
- Familiarity with database security practices and user management.
- Ability to work with tools for database monitoring and performance tuning.
- Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python or Java is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
