Job Responsibilities:

• Performance Tuning & Optimization: Conduct performance analysis and tuning for ETL heavy-load queries to ensure optimal database performance.
• Database Monitoring: Monitor Oracle Cluster Components and disk groups to ensure high availability and resource efficiency.
• BI Tool Support: Provide support and perform tuning for PowerBI related performance issues originating from database interactions.
• Disaster Recovery: Plan and execute Disaster Recovery drills for critical production databases on a quarterly basis to ensure business continuity.
• Database Refresh: Perform on-demand database refresh operations as required for development, testing, or other environments.
• Cloud Migration Tuning: Tune database performance post-migration to the Azure cloud environment.
• Problem Management: Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring database events and issues, implementing preventive actions.
• Incident Management: Manage P1/P2 critical issues related to database operations, ensuring swift resolution and minimal downtime.
• Cloud Migration & Upgrades: Plan and lead database cloud migrations from on-premise environments to Azure. Plan and lead database version upgrades and periodic patching of database servers.
• Automation: Plan and lead initiatives for database-related automations to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in database performance tuning.
• Experience with Oracle Cluster Components and disk group monitoring.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting SQL databases, including those integrated with BI tools like PowerBI.
• Demonstrated ability to perform database refresh operations.
• Experience with database migration and post-migration tuning, particularly on Azure cloud.
• Strong skills in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem resolution.
• Ability to manage critical P1/P2 database incidents.
• Knowledge of database version upgrades and patching processes.
• Understanding of database automation concepts and implementation.
