Data Visualization & Reporting Engineer

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India's first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualization solutions using Tableau, Grafana, and Power BI to monitor business and operational KPIs.

• Create real-time monitoring dashboards for production, quality, and performance metrics to support operational decision-making.

• Establish and maintain database connectivity with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other relational databases for seamless data integration with reporting tools.

• Write, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and views for efficient data extraction and transformation.

• Design and implement data models and semantic layers to support scalable and high-performance reporting solutions.

• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows to process, clean, and transform data for analytics and reporting.

• Integrate dashboards with APIs, cloud data sources, and enterprise systems to enable automated data ingestion and real-time updates.

• Configure and manage Grafana dashboards with time-series for operational monitoring.

• Develop Power BI data models and DAX calculations to create advanced analytical reports and business insights.

• Optimize dashboard performance, database queries, and data pipelines to ensure high availability and fast response times.

• Collaborate with business analysts, manufacturing teams, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical dashboard solutions.

• Continuously enhance reporting platforms by identifying automation opportunities, visualization improvements, and advanced analytics capabilities.

Governance & Data Quality

• Implement data validation, governance policies, and version control for reporting assets.

• Maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, and integration processes.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Investigate and resolve issues related to dashboard failures, data refresh problems, and database connectivity.

• Provide technical support and continuous improvement for analytics platforms.
