Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with deep expertise in Tableau, geospatial analytics, forecasting, and spatial data modeling. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with native and custom maps, PostGIS, geopandas, and CARTO, enabling advanced insights through location intelligence, predictive modeling, and KPI-driven dashboards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Tableau, including advanced geospatial dashboards and forecasting models.
- Hands-on experience building native Tableau maps and custom maps using QGIS, geoJSON, and spatial SQL.
- Deep knowledge of geospatial technologies, including PostGIS, geopandas, and other spatial modeling tools.
- Proven experience with CARTO integration for geospatial analytics and risk assessment.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and analytical model development.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and statistical techniques.
- Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills to convert complex data into actionable insights.
Good To Have
- Experience in machine learning, predictive modeling, or time-series analysis.
- Background in risk modeling, logistics, mobility analytics, or territory planning.
- Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) with geospatial services or data lakes.
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced Tableau dashboards, including geospatial visualizations, forecasting models, and KPI-driven insights.
- Build custom geospatial solutions using QGIS, geoJSON, shapefiles, and spatial SQL.
- Work extensively with PostGIS, geopandas, and spatial modeling to support complex geospatial analyses.
- Integrate CARTO with Tableau for enhanced location intelligence and risk analysis use cases.
- Analyze large geospatial datasets to identify patterns, trends, and predictive opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
- Build and validate forecasting models, risk scoring models, and spatial clustering analyses.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across analytical workflows.
