Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with 6–8 years of experience, preferably from the FMCG industry, to drive data-driven insights and support business decision-making. The candidate will work with business and technology teams to develop analytical models and translate complex data into actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning and statistical models to solve business problems.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
• Work on use cases such as sales forecasting, demand planning, customer analytics, pricing, promotion effectiveness, and supply chain analytics.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Build dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
• Develop and optimize predictive models and ensure their deployment and performance.
• Work with data engineering teams to ensure data quality, availability, and reliability.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 6–8 years of experience in Data Science / Advanced Analytics / Machine Learning.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Machine Learning, Statistics, Predictive Analytics and Data Visualization.
• Strong understanding of data preparation, feature engineering, model development and validation.
• Experience working with large datasets and cloud/data platforms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• FMCG/Consumer Goods industry experience is preferred.
• SAP experience/exposure will be an added advantage, particularly experience working with SAP data or SAP-driven business processes.
