We help thousands of facilities and their staff reduce their expenses and time spent procuring items so they can direct more time and effort toward caring for their patients and residents. Procurement Partners now includes both OnCare & Hybrent product lines, and we are the fastest-growing procure-to-pay software company in healthcare.

If you have a passion for technology, enjoy providing value to customers, and are looking for a company that will help you develop your career, we want to talk to you!

About the Role

Procurement Partners is hiring a Data Scientist to turn large volumes of data into actionable insight that improves our software products, enhances the customer experience, and drives business decisions. You will apply statistical analysis, machine learning, AI, and data engineering across our SaaS platform and business operations.

You will partner closely with Product Management, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, UX, and business stakeholders to design, build, deploy, and monitor predictive models and AI-powered capabilities, including Generative AI and Large Language Model solutions, integrated directly into our products.

If you enjoy framing ambiguous business questions as rigorous models and shipping AI into production, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, clean, and transform datasets for analysis and modeling, and engineer features across multiple data sources.

  • Help design data warehouses, data lakes, and reliable, scalable data pipelines, ensuring high data quality.

  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.

  • Perform exploratory data analysis and develop statistical models to answer complex business questions.

  • Design, train, validate, and deploy machine learning models, including predictive, classification, recommendation, clustering, and anomaly-detection models.

  • Develop Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions where applicable.

  • Evaluate model performance and continuously improve accuracy, robustness, and reliability.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to identify AI opportunities and shape data-driven features.

  • Work alongside software engineers to integrate ML models into production applications.

  • Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through deployment.

  • Monitor deployed models for performance and drift, and retrain them as new data becomes available.

  • Maintain version control of datasets and models, and support reliable, repeatable deployment (MLOps).

  • Communicate findings, assumptions, and recommendations through clear visualizations and executive-level presentations.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years in Data Science or Machine Learning, including building production ML systems.

  • Strong programming in Python and SQL; familiarity with .NET and JavaScript.

  • Machine learning expertise across regression, classification, clustering, recommendation systems, time series forecasting, NLP, and deep learning.

  • Experience with ML/AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.

  • Cloud experience, particularly AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, Redshift, Athena).

  • Data technology experience including SQL, Redshift, and Databricks.

  • Strong communication skills, including executive-level presentations and data visualization.

  • Bachelor's in a quantitative field (Master's preferred); Generative AI/LLM and healthcare, procurement, or supply chain software experience are a plus.
