S&P Global Mobility

The Team:

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist 2 to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning and data analytics, with proven experience in evaluating, writing, and maintaining ML models. You will be responsible for the operations and monitoring of models, code promotion and deployment, and documentation. Effective communication skills are essential, as you will need to explain complex models to internal customers clearly.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Evaluate, write, and maintain machine learning models, ensuring they meet business requirements and performance metrics.
  • Monitor model performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Promote and deploy code in collaboration with engineering teams, ensuring smooth integration into production environments.
  • Document processes, methodologies, and model specifications for internal reference and compliance.
  • Communicate findings and model insights to internal stakeholders, translating complex concepts into understandable terms.
  • Conduct data analytics to derive actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement various types of models, including but not limited to:
    • Time series forecasting
    • Predictive modeling
    • Regression analysis
    • Causal inference
    • Data imputation
    • Custom large language model (LLM) implementations

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL experience with data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud services is preferred.
  • Proven experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in working with large datasets and data visualization tools is a plus
