About the Role

At Gaana, we are looking for a data-driven problem solver to help us improve customer lifecycle outcomes from engagement to renewal and upgrades. This role sits at the intersection of data science, product, and growth, and focuses on identifying and driving interventions that meaningfully improve customer LTV.

What You'll Do

  • Analyse user behavior and build cohort-level and individual-level insights to understand engagement, churn, and renewal patterns
  • Identify high-impact intervention points across the customer journey — what to do, when to do it, and for whom
  • Design and implement lifecycle strategies using existing tools (CRM, notifications, journeys, etc.) to improve retention and upgrades
  • Build and deploy models / frameworks to predict churn, engagement drop-offs, and upgrade likelihood
  • Run structured experiments (A/B testing) to measure impact and continuously improve lifecycle interventions
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and growth teams to translate insights into actionable interventions at scale
  • Own key metrics such as engagement, renewal rates, upgrade conversion, and LTV improvement

What We're Looking For

  • 2–5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or growth-focused roles
  • Strong understanding of user behavior analysis, cohorting, and lifecycle metrics
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python (or similar tools), and data modeling
  • Ability to move beyond analysis to drive real-world interventions and outcomes
  • Experience with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing is a strong plus
  • Experience with marketing automation tools such as MoEngage or CleverTap is a plus
  • High ownership mindset, ability to work independently and drive initiatives end-to-end
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a bias for action
