The impact that you will be making

Expert Data Scientist will help us discover the hidden information in vast amounts of data and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. Primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products. At Impact Analytics, the role of an expert data scientist is a critical one. The expert data scientist is a hands-on role that involves experimenting on new algorithms and methodologies, enabling the decisions on the models which will be used in our products and the output of the model. The role also entails mentoring a couple of high impact individual data scientists.

EDS person will work within the Center of Excellence for AI/ML and Operations Research across

projects and products within Impact Analytics. The role will involve working closely with the

Engineering team for building a comprehensive product, which will provide valuable insights to our

clients and enable them to make great business decisions.

What this role entails

● Translating a business problem to a data science/analytical problem, supporting business &

product teams in business case formulation, hypothesis formulation, experiment design.

● Analyzing large amounts of data to discover trends and patterns

● Testing performance of data driven products to further improve the product

● Designing, implementing, analyzing and tuning complex algorithms and models operating on

large data sets in collaboration with scientists and engineers.

● Finding opportunities to craft products out of analyses that are suitable for multiple clients

● Playing critical roles in internal proof of concept initiatives leveraging advanced data science

or machine learning models

What lands you in this role

● At least 8+ years of experience in data analytics/AI/Machine learning based model

development, experimentation and deployment.

● Strong forecasting and Deep Learning experience

● Must have exposure to developing predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms for

business applications.

● Hands-on experience of working across SQL, R, Python, Hadoop

● Experience of managing teams of 1-2 members would be a plus

● Having good understanding and exposure to business applications and integration of

analytics with businesses.

● Strong Analytical, Problem solving and communication skills

● Ability to think Out-of-the-box and passion for brainstorming innovative ways to use our

client's unique data to answer business problems

● Ability to communicate with internal and external clients to understand the challenges they

face and convincing them with data

● Education background in Quantitative field, Math / Statistics / Computer Science/ AI/

Machine Learning/ Economics / Engineering from top institutes will be preferred but not

necessary.
