Role Overview
Position: Data Science Intern
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka (In-Office)
Duration: 6 Months
Type: Internship
We are looking for a curious and highly motivated Data Science Intern to join our engineering team. You will work closely with our senior AI/ML engineers to build, test, and deploy models that solve complex problems for the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector.
Key Responsibilities
Data Exploration: Assist in cleaning, preprocessing, and performing Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on large financial datasets.
Model Development: Help build and fine-tune machine learning models, including LLMs and NLP-based classification tasks.
Pipeline Integration: Work with the engineering team to integrate models into our real-time data pipelines.
Research: Stay updated on the latest AI research and evaluate how new techniques can be applied to our core framework.
Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of experiments, model versions, and data schemas.
Data Extraction & Querying: Write and optimize professional SQL queries to extract data from various databases, ensuring accurate data retrieval for analysis.
Technical Skills Required
Programming: Strong proficiency in Python and its data libraries (Mysql, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
AI/ML Concepts: Solid understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning, neural networks, and NLP.
Tools: Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks, Git for version control, and basic SQL for data extraction.
Mathematical Foundation: Good grasp of statistics, probability, and linear algebra.
Communication: Ability to explain complex technical findings in simple, clear
English.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Portfolio: Personal projects or competition experience (Kaggle) showing a hands-on approach to data problems.
Curiosity: A strong desire to learn the technical architecture of high-scale AI products.
