We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Data Research Specialists to join our Research team, based at our Aerocity office in Delhi, India.

About the role:

As Data Research Specialist, you'll be responsible for updating JATO's global automotive databases with accurate vehicle data, including pricing, specifications, and options.

This involves interpreting official documentation, aligning data with JATO standards, and ensuring quality through regular checks and updates.

You'll work with proprietary tools and follow internal procedures to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:

- Update JATO databases and the news bulletin service with the latest relevant and accurate global automotive data including but not limited to, pricing, specifications, options for cars and light commercial vehicles.

- Collect relevant and required information from documentation available within internal company networks and official sources.

- Review documentation and gather details related to new automotive specifications or changes and align these details with relevant JATO characterizations, data structure and existing vehicle data.

- Interpret vehicle specifications from official sources according to JATO definitions, and input data against relevant quality standards using proprietary software and following company procedures and guidelines.

- Perform Quality Assurance activities to improve data quality and meet company standards for accuracy, timeliness, completeness and consistency, in accordance with SLA and KPIs.

- Implement corrections and adjustments into the database as guided and required by relevant departments.

- Stay up-to-date and execute ongoing and the latest JATO procedure changes.

Key Requirements:

- The ideal candidate will preferably hold a degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.

- Working experience and or/ familiarity with and curiosity about cars, automotive specifications, and vehicle technology is preferred.

- Desktop research skills combined with analytical thinking and a data-driven mentality are vital, as obtaining relevant and high-quality information is critical for this role.

- A very good command of spoken and written English, knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.

- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to focus on large amounts of data.

- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as familiarity with basic data manipulation tasks is key.

- Strong interpersonal skills are essential for fostering productive and effective relationships with internal teams across the globe.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and coordinating efforts to contribute to seamless data operations.

- Effective time management, punctuality, adherence to deadlines, and a proactive approach.
