About The Position
You will join our Cyber Engineering Team in India, focusing on ensuring privacy compliance across product development and third-party procurement. This includes integrating Privacy by Design, conducting DPIAs, and embedding privacy into the development workflow.
As the primary privacy contact for product and engineering teams, you'll perform risk assessments, support procurement and deployment phases, conduct training, and lead awareness initiatives.
You'll also mentor junior team members, manage privacy aspects of larger projects, and contribute to shaping best practices and innovation within the team.
Essential Skills / Competencies
- Minimum 3 years experience in privacy/data protection
- Deep understanding of EU privacy laws (ex. GDPR, Ai Act, Digital Markets act and or similar)
- Professional certification such as CIPP. CIPM, or similar
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience in marketplaces
What You Bring To The Table
- Facilitation of workshops to conduct privacy assessments and supporting remediation activities for digital products and platforms.
- Innovative approaches to working with privacy and technology in the domain.
- Acting as a 1st line advisory service for day-to day queries related to privacy (e.g., how to interpret data privacy requirements, assessment/ inventory queries, conflicts with local legal requirements, etc.)
- Hands-on experience implementing GDPR, ISO 27001 controls, and the NIST Privacy Framework to strengthen data protection, compliance, and risk management
- Ensuring the implementation of technical privacy controls for Group Digital spanning all technology capability areas.
- Assist in data classification and data management initiatives, and drive the privacy agenda for this within the Customer subdomains.
- Do privacy awareness initiatives within the domain.
- Supervising and training junior members of the team.
Education: Bachelor or masters in Law or information security or computer science or related
