About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Data & Platform Architect to design and evolve the core platform services that power scalable digital solutions. This role focuses on building robust data foundations across structured, unstructured, document, and time-series systems while ensuring platform services remain secure, scalable, and resilient.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to drive platform architecture standards, data governance, and high-performance distributed systems.
What You'll Do
Architectural Leadership
- Define and evolve architecture patterns for data ingestion, processing, storage, and APIs
- Ensure consistency and scalability across time-series, document, relational, and unstructured data systems
- Establish governance frameworks and lifecycle standards for platform services and data pipelines
- Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures and API-first design principles
Technical Leadership
- Provide guidance on platform services including event streaming, messaging systems, data pipelines, storage, and APIs
- Define best practices for indexing, search, caching, and high-performance data access
- Collaborate on cross-platform concerns such as security, observability, reliability, and cost optimization
- Ensure interoperability between platform modules, applications, and external integrations
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Partner with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to align platform architecture with business goals
- Mentor engineers on data engineering, architecture standards, and platform best practices
- Support cross-product initiatives requiring shared data infrastructure and platform services
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong experience designing data architectures across relational (SQL), NoSQL/document (MongoDB, CouchDB), time-series (Timescale, InfluxDB), and unstructured data systems
- Deep understanding of event-driven systems and messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Service Bus)
- Expertise in microservices architecture, REST/GraphQL APIs, and backend system design
- Experience with MEAN stack environments (Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Angular) is desirable
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, observability frameworks, and cloud-native environments
- Strong understanding of platform governance, security, and lifecycle management
- Excellent stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills
Experience Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with focus on data platforms and distributed systems
- 5+ years in architecture or platform leadership roles
- Experience building enterprise-scale, multi-tenant, or SaaS platforms
- Experience with time-series, event-driven, or data-intensive industrial systems is a strong advantage
