Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeling Specialist to design, develop, and optimize enterprise data models that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling along with experience in modern data platforms and data warehousing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise applications and analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable models.
• Develop data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage documentation.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance standards across systems.
• Optimize database structures and schemas for performance and scalability.
• Work closely with ETL/ELT developers and BI teams to support reporting and analytics needs.
• Perform impact analysis for schema and model changes.
• Support data migration, integration, and transformation initiatives.
• Participate in data quality and master data management activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in data modeling and database design.
• Strong understanding of:
• Dimensional Modeling
• ER Modeling
• Star & Snowflake Schemas
• Data Warehousing Concepts
• Hands-on experience with relational and cloud databases such as:
• SQL Server
• Oracle
• PostgreSQL
• Snowflake
• Redshift
• BigQuery
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
• Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and modern data pipelines.
• Understanding of data governance and metadata management practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Data Vault modeling is an added advantage.
• Certifications in database technologies or cloud platforms are preferred
