Content Operations Executive / Data Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a Content Operations Executive to manage the end-to-end content publishing workflow for our app. This role will be responsible for uploading content accurately, maintaining a clean and searchable content library, ensuring backups and data hygiene, and supporting the content team with smooth operational execution.
This is a highly detail-oriented role that ensures the app's content experience remains structured, updated, and error-free.
Key Responsibilities
1) Content Uploading & Publishing
- Upload and publish content on the app (videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, tags, categories, etc.).
- Ensure correct mapping of content across sections (example: Binge, Trending, Categories, Series, Playlists).
- Maintain publishing timelines and ensure content goes live as per schedule.
- Coordinate with Creative/Editorial teams to collect final assets and publish-ready details.
2) Content Library & Catalog Management
- Maintain a structured content library with proper naming conventions and organization.
- Create and manage:
- series/episodes structure
- playlists/collections
- season-wise or category-wise folders
- Ensure content is easily searchable and discoverable through correct tagging and metadata.
- Maintain content version control (final vs revised vs alternate cuts).
3) Data Backup & Asset Management
- Ensure proper backup of all content assets including:
- raw footage
- edited masters
- thumbnails/posters
- captions/subtitles (if applicable)
- scripts and supporting documents
- Maintain a clean archive and backup system (Drive/Server/Cloud).
- Ensure nothing is lost, overwritten, or misfiled.
4) Metadata Accuracy & Quality Control
- Verify content details before publishing:
- correct titles and spellings
- correct thumbnail/cover image
- right category/series mapping
- correct duration and format
- no missing fields or wrong tags
- Ensure content meets internal compliance and publishing standards.
- Fix publishing errors quickly and coordinate with tech team if needed.
5) Content Scheduling & Coordination
- Maintain a weekly/monthly publishing tracker.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders:
- Creative Producer / Content Team
- Marketing & Social team (for highlights)
- Product/Tech team (for upload issues/bugs)
- Ensure timely publishing during campaigns, launches, and high-traffic events.
6) Reporting & Operational Insights
- Track and report publishing-related metrics such as:
- number of uploads per day/week
- publishing error rate
- missing metadata issues
- content library growth
- Share insights to improve workflows and reduce repetitive manual work.
7) Process Improvement & Documentation
- Build and maintain SOPs for:
- upload checklist
- naming conventions
- folder structure
- backup process
- version control rules
- Suggest automation and improvements to speed up content ops.
Other Tasks
- Maintain a Single Source of Truth content sheet (content ID, title, format, date, status)
- Ensure all assets are aligned to correct aspect ratios and platform specs
- Coordinate subtitle/caption files if required
- Maintain content readiness checks for:
- festivals / launches
- trending topics
- high-priority binge series
- Help set up a clean archival system for long-term retrieval
Skills & Qualifications
- 1–5 years experience in content operations, publishing, media operations, or digital platforms
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of content
- Comfortable working with:
- CMS/admin panels
- Google Drive / Dropbox / cloud storage
- Google Sheets/Excel trackers
- Basic understanding of video formats, naming conventions, and asset workflows
- Strong coordination skills and ownership mindset
