Data Management Specialist

About the Role (Summary)

We are looking for a Power BI professional with 24 years of hands-on experience in building robust BI solutionstransforming raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate has strong DAX, data modeling, and visualization skills, and is comfortable partnering with business stakeholders to define KPIs, automate reporting, and drive datadriven decisions.

Key Responsibilitie

s Engage with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, define KPIs/metrics, and translate business needs into analytical outputs

. Build interactive Power BI reports and dashboards with strong UX and performance

. Perform DAX calculations, including date intelligence, time-series, and variance analysis

. Create and maintain semantic models (star schema, relationships, hierarchies)

. Profile and clean data; ensure data quality, consistency, and governance

. Publish, manage, and secure content in Power BI Service (workspaces, apps, RLS/OLS)

. Monitor usage, optimize performance, and iterate based on user feedback

. Document datasets, measures, and dashboard logic; provide user training and adoption support

. Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using Power Query (M) and/or SQL; integrate data from multiple sources

. Develop scalable data models aligned with BI best practices and performance optimization

. Author advanced DAX measures; implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS)

. Manage Power BI Service governance, including deployment pipelines, dataflows, refresh schedules, and gateway management

. Optimize report performance (query folding, storage modes, aggregations, incremental refresh)

. Collaborate with Data Engineering teams on data lake/warehouse models (Azure SQL, Synapse, Databricks, etc.)
