Key Responsibilities
- Ingestion & Delivery: Download, upload, organize client data; follow studio standards; deliver outputs in required formats.
- Editorial & EDL Handling: Interpret EDL/XML/AAF; build/verify shot lineups; cross-check edits, frame ranges, and timecodes; flag discrepancies.
- Coordination: Communicate with Production, Editorial, IT/Tech, and departments to track and update show data.
- Technical Support: QC data integrity (hash/MD5, frame counts); monitor storage; troubleshoot transfer and pipeline issues.
- Automation: Use Python to automate IO tasks; debug scripts; collaborate with Pipeline TDs for tool improvements.
- Security & Compliance: Handle client data per security protocols; maintain ingestion/delivery logs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of file systems, formats (EXR, DPX, MOV, audio, LUTs, EDL/XML/AAF), transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, Aspera, rsync).
- Must have knowledge in Python
- Basic knowledge of VFX pipeline workflows (roto, prep, comp, 3D).
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Prior IO/TechOps experience in VFX/Animation studios is an advantage.
