Data Governance Specialist

Develop and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, standards, and procedures ensuring data privacy, security, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Implement Data Governance and Data Protection strategies while proactively managing data-related risks.

Ensure compliance with global and US data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other regulatory mandates.

Establish data classification, data registration, and mapping processes for newly ingested data.

Manage metadata, master data, reference data, and lifecycle processes including acquisition, retention, archiving, and deletion.

Oversee data access controls and permissions to safeguard sensitive information.

Monitor and assess risks related to data security and compliance, implementing corrective measures.

Design and establish governance structures such as data councils, steering committees, and define roles like Data Owners and Data Stewards.

Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to drive enterprise data maturity and strategy alignment.

Lead documentation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and governance requirement coordination.
