The Impact you will have in this role:
As a core member of the domain data management capability, the Senior Data Associate - Data Steward supports the organization in operationalizing the DTCC Data Governance Policy, Standard, and Procedures within assigned business and functional domains. The role is responsible for executing and supporting day to day data stewardship activities that enable consistent governance, accountability, and compliance for Enterprise Data, with a particular focus on Data Elements (DEs), Critical Data Elements (CDEs), metadata, data quality exceptions, and lineage. This role bridges business and technology by profiling and analyzing data, documenting governance artifacts and business requirements, and coordinating with Data Owners, the Data Governance Office, and technology partners to ensure that enterprise standards are applied consistently and evidence of stewardship execution is produced. The position operates in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities and works within agile, cross functional teams.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support monitoring of governed data to ensure it is accurate, complete, timely, valid, consistent, and unique, in alignment with enterprise policy requirements.
  • Assist in the identification, documentation, and management of Data Quality Exceptions, including onboarding, tracking, evidence collection, and coordination of remediation activities with business and technology partners.
  • Escalate unresolved issues and risks through defined governance channels in accordance with standard escalation procedures.
  • Execute stewardship activities required to support compliance with the DTCC Data Governance Policy and Standard, including controls applicable to DEs and CDEs.
  • Support Data Owners and the Data Governance Office by maintaining required governance artifacts, evidence, and metrics demonstrating stewardship execution and control effectiveness.
  • Contribute to phased implementation efforts by supporting adoption of new or enhanced governance requirements within the domain.
  • Document, maintain, and validate business metadata for DEs and CDEs, including definitions, ownership, domain context, and authoritative data sources.
  • Support CDE identification and maintenance activities by partnering with Data Owners and the Data Governance Office.
  • Assist with data lineage capture and validation to support transparency, traceability, and impact analysis.
  • Work within agile, cross functional delivery teams to ensure data governance requirements are understood and incorporated into business and technology initiatives.
  • Profile, analyze, and interpret data to support business requirements, governance controls, and data quality rule definition.
  • Translate business intent into clear, actionable documentation that supports technical implementation and testing.
  • Serve as a day to day point of contact for data governance and stewardship activities within the assigned domain.
  • Partner with Data Owners and IT to coordinate remediation plans and track progress toward governance compliance.
  • Communicate risks, issues, and status updates clearly to domain leadership and governance stakeholders.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk escalates appropriately

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Experience supporting data stewardship, data governance, data quality, or data management activities within a business or functional domain
  • Working knowledge of data governance concepts, including DEs, CDEs, metadata, lineage, data quality rules, and exception management
  • Ability to analyze datasets and identify data issues, inconsistencies, and risks
  • Experience partnering with both business and technology stakeholders in a regulated or control oriented environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data concepts to both technical and non technical audiences
  • Knowledge in Data Governance tools
