Data Governance Consultant

• Understand the current data governance structure of the organization and draft a data governance charter and operating model with roles and responsibilities on levels of operating model.
• Create a glossary with terms and definitions, mapping between logical elements and physical elements, and simple and complex relations for mapping.
• Set up Collibra communities, domains, types, attributes, status, articulation, workflow, and customize attribution.
• Identify and prioritize data domains for data governance based on business value and ease of implementation.
• Define roles and responsibilities governing communities and assets within the Collibra environment.
• Recommend and implement workflows to govern metadata.
• Engage with client SMEs to identify key business terms from shared documents to be showcased in Collibra as part of the business glossary. Identify key attributes like definition, criticality, security classification, purpose, etc., associated with the business terms.
• Create templates to gather the information required about business term attributes and technical metadata.
• Automate the manual data demand process by configuring and implementing workflows.
• Create end-to-end lineage in Collibra DGC based on the analysis performed and display the lineage in visual format for business users.

Document best practices and provide training to stakeholders.
