Data Governance | 6 to 9 years | Pune, Bengaluru & Chennai

Job Description

• Work with key stakeholders such as KPI owners, SME's, senior program leads to ensure proper understanding of key data governance metrices.
• Create and implement data governance principles, policies, standards, and processes across different business units of the organization.
• Define process maps and related artifacts.
• Collaborate with and assist Business and Functions to develop strategic plans for data sovereignty risk management.
• Create data catalogue operating model and framework to meet enterprise requirements including community/domain structure and asset model.
• Knowledge of data governance best practices, business and technological issues, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in data governance.
• Monitor and resolve data quality issues, review data incidents in alignment with data governance policy. Conduct data remediation activities as required. Document data quality rules, guidelines, and issue resolution procedures to facilitate effective data governance.
• Drive awareness about the importance of data governance and risk management through education, training, andan awareness program.

Primary Skills

• Knowledge of industry leading data governance & data management concepts, approaches, methodologies, tools and relevant certifications.
• Knowledge and experience in data profiling, data cataloguing, data lineage, metadata management, data quality management, etc.

Secondary Skills

• Good understanding of data and analytics, warehousing concepts and ETL tools, understanding of SQL and databases.
• Knowledge of agile/scrum methodology for effective implementation of data governance projects.
