Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana

Employment Type: Full-time | On-site / Hybrid

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures that support analytics, reporting, and machine learning workflows. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about data systems, cloud technologies, and enabling high-quality data access across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting and transforming structured and unstructured data.
  • Build and optimize data models, warehouses, and marts to support analytics and business intelligence.
  • Develop data integration solutions across internal and external data sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality, governance, and security across the entire lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineering teams to deliver reliable datasets.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.
  • Automate repetitive data processing tasks using scripting languages and cloud-native tools.
  • Document data flows, architecture diagrams, and technical processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • 25 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
  • Proficiency in Python or Java for data pipeline development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP (S3, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.).
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and warehousing.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and CI/CD practices.

Preferred / Good-to-Have

  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, Prefect).
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
  • Exposure to containerization and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of data governance, cataloging, and security frameworks.
