Data Engineer - SDE2 (Java + AWS)

Job Title: SDE 2 AWS Cloud Native

Role Overview:

We are hiring an SDE 2 with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, SQL and AWS

cloud-native development.

The ideal candidate will independently build scalable backend services, contribute to system design

discussions, and deliver production-grade solutions in a cloud-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot

Build and maintain microservices-based applications

Deploy and manage applications on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, API

Gateway)

Write optimised SQL queries and efficiently work with relational databases

(PostgreSQL/MySQL)

Implement authentication & authorization (OAuth2, JWT)

Contribute to Low-Level Design and scalability discussions

Work with Docker and support CI/CD pipelines

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Required Qualifications

4+ years of backend development experience

Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot

Hands-on AWS cloud development experience

Experience building microservice architectures

Solid SQL knowledge and database interaction skills

Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools

Strong debugging and problem-solving ability.

Good to Have

Exposure to Kubernetes (EKS).

Experience with Kafka / SQS.

Redis or caching knowledge.

AWS Associate Certification.
