About the Role:

The Team

The BI Platforms team within Enterprise Technology - Market Intelligence builds and operates modern, scalable analytics and data platforms. The team follows a dataengineeringfirst mindset, leveraging Microsoft Fabric, PySpark notebooks, and strong SQLdriven architectures to deliver governed, highperformance insights across multicloud environments.

Responsibilities and Impact

  • Design, build, and operate endtoend analytics solutions on Microsoft Fabric with a strong data engineering foundation.
  • Develop and maintain Fabric Notebooks using PySpark for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and enrichment.
  • Build and manage Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse layers using strong SQLbased modeling and performanceoptimized queries.
  • Orchestrate ETL/ELT workflows using Fabric Data Pipelines with incremental loads, snapshotting, and costefficient patterns.
  • Develop enterprisegrade Power BI semantic models using DAX, calculation groups, and TMDL / pbip standards.
  • Apply data quality checks, governance controls, security, and performance tuning across pipelines, notebooks, and models.

What We're Looking For - Basic Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of handson experience in data engineering and/or business intelligence roles.
  • Strong data engineering mindset with handson experience in PySparkbased notebook development.
  • Expertlevel SQL skills for data modeling, performance tuning, and analytical transformations.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse, Notebooks, Data Pipelines, Semantic Models, and Power BI.
  • Advanced proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and Python.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to design scalable, maintainable data solutions.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and operating productiongrade PySpark pipelines and notebookbased workflows.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Microsoft Fabric or Power BI certifications (PL300, DP600, DP-700 or equivalent).
  • Experience working in multicloud environments (Azure, AWS..).
  • Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD, and DevOps practices for data platforms.
  • Exposure to FinOps use cases or largescale operational data platforms.

AI & Agentic AI (Nice to Have)

  • Foundational understanding of Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts, including how autonomous agents reason, plan, and execute tasks using enterprise data.
  • Awareness or handson exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar standards for securely connecting AI agents with enterprise systems, APIs, and governed data.
  • Experience or strong interest in building or configuring MCP servers to expose business data, analytical services, or APIs to AI agents in a controlled manner.
  • Understanding of promptbased Business Intelligence, where users interact with governed datasets using naturallanguage prompts instead of traditional reportonly interfaces.
  • Familiarity with conversational analytics, agentdriven BI, or AI copilots querying semantic models and lakehouse data.
  • Awareness of enterprise AI governance, security boundaries, and responsible AI practices when integrating external AI agents or tools.
