Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient and scalable data pipelines using MS Fabric
- Develop robust data models to support business intelligence and analytical needs
- Manage and optimize ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine data requirements
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems and processes
- Apply best practices in data management, storage, and processing
- Conduct performance tuning of storage and queries for optimal efficiency
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture and flows
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely solutions
- Monitor and optimize cloud-based data solutions for scalability and cost-efficiency
- Research and evaluate emerging data tools and technologies for potential adoption
- Assist in the design and implementation of data governance frameworks and policies
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data engineers
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data engineering
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in data engineering roles
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and related technologies
- Proficient in SQL and relational database management systems
- Experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and design of scalable systems
- Solid hands-on experience with ETL tools and workflows
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Familiarity with Python or similar programming/scripting languages
- Strong communication skills, especially in explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated experience implementing data quality measures and data governance
- Exceptional problem-solving and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote or distributed team environment
- Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
- Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience working within Agile methodologies and project tracking tools
