Job Description

Are you passionate about building scalable data pipelines and enabling AI-driven decision-making across the enterprise Join LevelShift as a Data Engineer Microsoft Fabric, where you'll design secure, reusable data architectures, optimize data workflows, and ensure high-quality, AI-ready data availability for analytics and machine learning initiatives.

What You'll Do

As a Data Engineer at LevelShift, you will:

  • Build Scalable Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, or Fabric Data Pipelines for both structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop Data Models: Create optimized star and snowflake data models and feature datasets to support analytics, predictive modeling, and ML training.
  • Integrate Diverse Data Sources: Ingest and harmonize data from on-premises systems, APIs, and SaaS applications into Azure Data Lake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse environments.
  • Optimize Performance & Governance: Implement performance tuning, data quality validation, lineage tracking, and access governance following best practices.
  • Enable AI/ML Readiness: Prepare well-structured, versioned datasets for model training and inference within Azure ML or Synapse ML environments.

Your Skillset

We're looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Data Engineer with a passion for data platform innovation and operational excellence.

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or cloud data platform development.
  • Core Languages: Proficient in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
  • Azure Data Services: Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Data Lake.
  • Data Modeling: Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, ETL/ELT design, and performance optimization for analytical workloads.
  • Data Architecture: Experience in building scalable, maintainable, and reusable data solutions in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
  • Fabric Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for unified data integration and AI/ML workload preparation is a strong advantage.
  • AI/ML Readiness: Experience designing datasets that support predictive modeling and ML workflows.
