We are a team of expert business analysts, Data Architects, and software engineers, spread across multiple locations around the globe, driving the Enterprise Data Governance to enable to manage Data as an asset within Swiss Re.

We work with our data experts, data owners and data consumers and providethem withwell-governed data whichhelpsto buildLogical& Analytical Data Model for our Data Scientists to prepare data models and business insights.

About the Role

We are seeking acandidate with strong programmingskillsto join our data engineering and governance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development and hands-onexpertisein buildingWebapplications. This role involves close collaboration with business and data teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

• Design, develop, andmaintainFoundry-based applications, workflows, and data pipelinesusing Workshop, Code Repositories, and Contour.

• Performbackend developmentusingPySpark,Pythonand SQLto support data processing, transformation, and integration.

• Optimizeperformance, manage versioning, and ensure best practices inCI/CD and source control (Git)

• Developunit tests usingPytestandfollowbest coding practices.

About You

• You have a bachelor's degree in computer science.

• Basicexperience infrontend developmentusingReactandTypeScript.

• Basic idea ofGit, CI/CD pipelines, and agile workflows

• ProficiencyinJavaScript,Python, SQL, andobject-oriented programmingfor backend data processing and service development.

• Basicexperience withPytestfor testing.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Experience with Data Governance implementation is a Plus

Must Have

• Hands on withPySpark,Python,Pytestand UI developmentusing Reactand TypeScript

• Familiar with Git, CI/CD

• Experience with Data Governance implementation
