Data Engineer I

Key Accountabilities

• Design, create, code, and support a variety of GCP, ETL, and SQL solutions.
• Apply agile techniques or methods to project execution.
• Collaborate effectively in a distributed global team environment.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively with business stakeholders and influence decision-making.
• Analyze existing processes and development requirements to enhance efficiency.
• Manage multiple stakeholders and tasks, navigating ambiguity and complexity.
• Translate business needs into insights by collaborating with architects, solution managers, and analysts.
• Maintain strong technical skills and share knowledge within the team.
• Resolve issues by working with system users, IT department, vendors, and service providers.
• Support existing data warehouse jobs and related processes.
• Utilize task/job scheduling tools like Talend, Tidal, Airflow, and Linux.
• Lead small projects/initiatives and contribute to enterprise implementations.
• Research modern development technologies and techniques proactively.
• Foster a continuous improvement and automation mindset to streamline processes.
• Train internal teams, IT functions, and business users.
• Be familiar with real-time and streaming data processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• 58+ years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data engineering services.
• Understanding of SAP landscape and data governance tools.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity requirements.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
