About the Role

As a Data Engineer in our Consulting team, you will design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms to support AI, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.

You will work closely with Data Architects, AI/ML Engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards. Your role will be critical in enabling advanced analytics through high-quality, well-governed data ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Develop and optimize data solutions using cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Implement data models to support reporting, analytics, and AI use cases
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security across systems
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to prepare and transform data for modeling
• Optimize performance of large-scale data processing workflows
• Implement metadata-driven frameworks and reusable components
• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Support CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices for data platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related technical issues
• Contribute to best practices, code reviews, and documentation standards

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related field
• Strong experience with Databricks, Spark (PySpark/Scala), and Delta Lake
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or equivalent orchestration tools
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale data lakes and warehouses
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Unity Catalog or similar governance tools
• Exposure to AI/ML data preparation workflows
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.)
• Knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka, Event Hub, etc.)
• Consulting experience preferred
