Data Center Facility Engineer / Technician

Job Description:

You will be responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical data center infrastructure, including electrical, cooling, and safety systems. The role involves monitoring facility conditions, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and responding to incidents to maintain uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operation & maintenance of Electrical systems (HT/LT), UPS, generators, HVAC, cooling, fire suppression, plumbing, and security systems

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime

Troubleshoot facility equipment, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions

Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and air quality

Operate and monitor BMS and access control systems

Coordinate with vendors and AMC partners for repairs and servicing

Maintain logs, maintenance records, inspections, and inventory

Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards

Respond to emergency situations like power outages or equipment failures

Follow and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Collaborate with engineers, technicians, facility managers, and IT teams

Experience Required:- 2 to 6 Years.

Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or related disciplines

Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting

Hands-on experience with facility maintenance tools and equipment

Knowledge of data center safety practices (electrical & fire safety)

Familiarity with BMS / CMMS tools (preferred)

Good communication skills (English & Hindi)

Willingness to work in shifts / on-call support, if required

Preferred / Added Skills:

Prior experience working in data center environments

Vendor management and coordination experience

Familiarity with IT infrastructure and cross-team collaboration

Understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability practices

Ability to manage small facility projects

Capability to guide or mentor junior technicians

Strong customer-focused and problem-solving mindset
