Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Data Center Engineer with strong hands-on experience in virtualization, cloud technologies, and UEM platforms. The role involves managing data center environments, supporting virtual infrastructure, performing regular operations, and ensuring high availability of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer virtualization platforms, primarily VMware vSphere.
  • Assist in the configuration and operations of cloud environments such as Apache CloudStack, OpenStack (optional), and AWS (basic to intermediate).
  • Perform daily data center activities, including system monitoring, health checks, patching, and DR drills.
  • Support and maintain Linux servers across distributions (Ubuntu, Red Hat, SuSE, Rocky Linux).
  • Handle basic networking tasks including VLAN configuration and routing fundamentals.
  • Manage and support storage components LUNs, iSCSI, NFS.
  • Work with VDI environments, especially Omnissa Horizon.
  • Provide support for UEM platforms including Omnissa Workspace and Microsoft Intune.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvements and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain documentation related to configuration, processes, and infrastructure updates.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies

Virtualization / Cloud

  • Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of Apache CloudStack and AWS.
  • Knowledge of OpenStack (optional but preferred).

Operating Systems

  • Good understanding of Linux administration (Ubuntu, Red Hat, SuSe, Rocky Linux).

Networking & Storage

  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as VLANs and routing.
  • Familiarity with storage fundamentals, including LUNs, iSCSI, NFS.

VDI & UEM

  • Experience with VDI solutions, primarily Omnissa Horizon.
  • Exposure to Workspace UEM platforms like Omnissa Workspace and Microsoft Intune.

Preferred / Additional Experience

  • Experience conducting disaster recovery drills and managing routine patching cycles.
  • Understanding of monitoring tools and data center operational best practices.

Certifications (Required)

  • VCF Certified
  • VMware Workspace UEM Certified
