  • Pipeline Orchestration: Architect and oversee the development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow/Composer, ensuring efficient incremental and full-load processing.
  • System Integration: Oversee the integration of Firebase for real-time application needs and BigQuery for heavy-duty analytical processing.
  • Technical Governance: Define best practices for SQL Stored Procedures (SPs), UDFs, and Python-based data processing scripts to optimize performance and cost.
  • Stakeholder Management: Translate high-level business objectives into technical roadmaps, bridging the gap between Experience Designers and Data Engineers.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure high-speed data delivery for Looker and Power BI dashboards, enabling real-time decision-making for clients.

Must-Have Skillset

  • Cloud Expertise: Deep proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically BigQuery (BQ)Google Cloud Storage (GCS), and Cloud Composer.
  • Orchestration & Code: Expert-level knowledge of Airflow/DAGs and Python for data engineering.
  • Advanced SQL: Mastery of complex SQL, including Stored Procedures, Functions, and query optimization for large-scale datasets.
  • Data Modeling: Proven experience in dimensional modeling, data vault, or schema-on-read architectures within a cloud environment.
  • App Integration: Strong understanding of Firebase (Firestore/Realtime Database) and how it interacts with analytical data warehouses.
  • ETL/ELT Logic: Comprehensive understanding of Ingestion, Data Processing, and handling both Incremental and Full-load scenarios.
  • Leadership: Experience leading/mentoring a team of Data Engineers, Front-End Developers, and BI Specialists.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
