Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Data Architect with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, build, and scale modern data architectures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end data solutioning, architecture design, and driving implementation across large-scale data platforms.
This role requires ownership mindset, strong technical depth, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures on GCP
- Own end-to-end data solutioning including data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics
- Define data models, data pipelines, and architecture standards
- Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Lead architectural decisions and ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance
- Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
- Mentor engineering teams and guide implementation of data solutions
Required Skills & Experience
- 10–12 years of experience in data engineering/data architecture
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Expertise in GCP services such as:
- BigQuery
- Dataflow
- Pub/Sub
- Cloud Storage
- Dataproc
- Experience in building large-scale data pipelines (batch & real-time)
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data modeling
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python/Java/Scala
- Experience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- GCP Certification (Mandatory/Highly Preferred)
- Experience with modern data stack and cloud-native architectures
- Exposure to DevOps/DataOps practices
- Experience in handling large-scale enterprise data platforms
