Job Description

Influence business stakeholders to ensure strong engagement and alignment with the long-term Data Analytics strategy.
Contribute to the lake house architecture by optimizing data storage and implementing access controls and security.
Translate business requirements into data architecture and metadata standards, including test data and data quality metrics.
Collaborate with application owners to confirm relevant data sources for extraction and use.
Define and implement database structures (schemas, tables, naming conventions).
Design data models for various data products including source, master, and insight data.
Document and review data architecture artifacts, providing deployment validation and governance oversight.
Support Data Engineering and BI Engineering teams during development and deployment phases.
Continuously enhance data model quality in collaboration with data stewards and governance teams.
Simplify existing data architecture to enable reusability and cost-effective solutions.
Lead and participate in peer reviews and ensure compliance with architecture best practices.
Collaborate across functions (e.g., product owners, data scientists, business stewards) to create robust data solutions.
Evaluate and recommend emerging data technologies for storage, analytics, and architecture improvements.
Role Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in enterprise data modeling and architecture.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), real-time data streaming (Kafka), and tools like Snowflake.
Strong expertise in SQL, NoSQL, HANA, and modern data modeling tools (ERWIN, ER/Studio).
Ability to design scalable and reusable enterprise data models (conceptual, logical, physical).
Experience in data governance, metadata systems, and data quality frameworks.
Familiarity with SAP ecosystem (ECC/S4, BW, HANA, BI, ARIBA) is a plus.
Proficiency in Agile tools (Jira, Confluence) and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Working knowledge of Python libraries (dbt, pandas, great expectations) and ELT frameworks is a plus.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
