Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics & Application Manager to lead our data infrastructure, manage in-house business applications, and collaborate closely with development teams to drive innovation and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, deep expertise in data modeling and technology platforms, and proven experience in translating business requirements into technical solutions while managing system performance and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics & Modeling

Design, develop, and maintain various data models (relational, dimensional, NoSQL) to support business intelligence and reporting requirements

Build and optimize data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes

Develop advanced analytics frameworks to deliver actionable insights for strategic decision-making

Create interactive dashboards and visualization tools using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms

Establish and enforce data governance practices including data quality, validation, and security protocols

Conduct predictive and prescriptive analytics to support forecasting and optimization initiatives

Business Requirements & Documentation

Collaborate with business stakeholders across departments to understand operational needs and pain points

Prepare comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) with functional and non-functional specifications

Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams

Conduct feasibility analysis and impact assessments for proposed solutions

Facilitate requirement validation workshops with stakeholders and obtain formal sign-offs

Maintain documentation of system architecture, data flows, and application functionalities

Application Management

Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of in-house business applications

Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, and security standards are met

Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance processes

Monitor application health, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures

Manage application integrations with third-party systems and legacy platforms

Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on user feedback and system performance metrics

Development Team Coordination

Act as the primary liaison between business units and the development team

Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives using Agile/Scrum methodologies

Prioritize development backlog items based on business value and technical dependencies

Review and validate deliverables to ensure alignment with business requirements

Coordinate new feature development, enhancements, and bug fixes

Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and technical documentation reviews

Server & Cost Management

Administer and optimize server infrastructure (on-premises and cloud environments)

Monitor server performance, storage utilization, and resource allocation

Implement cost optimization strategies for cloud resources (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Manage database administration tasks including backup, recovery, and performance tuning

Evaluate and implement monitoring tools for proactive system management

Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments

Oversee vendor relationships and license management for technology platforms

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or related field

Master's degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or MCA preferred

Experience

48 years of progressive experience in data analytics, application management, or IT systems operations

Proven track record of managing business applications from conception to deployment

Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations

Demonstrated experience in requirement gathering and BRD documentation

Prior experience in server administration and cloud infrastructure management

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in SQL and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)

Advanced knowledge of data modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake, Data Vault)

Expertise in at least one programming language (Python, R) for data analysis and automation

Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent)

Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi, or custom solutions)

Knowledge of server administration (Linux/Windows environments)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

Understanding of API development and integration patterns (REST, GraphQL)

Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines

Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
