Responsibilities
- Maintenance of inbound data feeds from external TMCs, TPN partners and other travel providers/vendors.
- Collaborate with data providers to define data specifications, formats and protocols.
- Develop and maintain data mapping documents that outline how incoming data aligns with existing data structures within client data platforms.
- Monitor the performance and data quality of all inbound data feeds and ensure continuous and accurate data flow.
- Implement changes and updates to data feeds as needed to accommodate new data requirements or changes to existing format.
- Design and execute on comprehensive product test plan to validate the accuracy of new or updated data feeds.
- The transactional data (air, car & hotel) is gathered from global countries & is uploaded to data platform through checks & validations, within strict timelines. Analyst shall also manage & perform Rail Station Code Creation & Hotel Manual Match tasks.
- Required to update Data Loading tables and fields as changes occur to maintain data accuracy.
- Regularly report on timeliness of data files via Lounge documentation and escalate to data source team when files are delayed/missing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with data capabilities / business intelligence / management information
- MUST have strong and seasoned experience with SQL
- 3+ years experience in the travel industry is preferred
- Familiarity with design and development of data warehouse/data mart schemas and ETL processes will be a plus
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and focus on quality
- Aptitude to solve complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and influence across a fast-paced and dynamic environment to achieve results, often progressing multiple competing priorities.
- Highly organized with ability to keep projects moving forward and run from start to finish
- Must be results driven, taking the lead with little supervision as well as working closely with fellow team members in a small team
- Ability to work against tight deadlines with colleagues across the world
- MUST be ready to work during overlap hours with U.S. teams
