1.Data Collection and Management:
- Collecting data from primary and secondary sources.
- Cleaning and validating data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and uniformity.
2.Data Analysis:
- Analyzing data using statistical techniques and providing reports.
- Developing and implementing databases and data collection systems.
3.Reporting:
- Interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques.
- Preparing reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
4.Problem-Solving:
- Working with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
5.Collaboration:
- Collaborating with different departments to improve business outcomes.
- Liaising with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.
6.Tool and Technique Utilization:
- Utilizing tools and techniques for analyzing large databases.
- Designing and creating data reports and reporting tools to help business executives in their decision-making.
7.Process Improvement:
- Recommending and implementing ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
8.Strategy Development:
- Supporting business decisions with ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Assisting with the development of analytics strategies that enable a data-driven approach to business.
Requirements:
1.Educational Qualifications:
- Course related to Data analysis, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
2.Experience:
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
Experience in data models and reporting packages.
3.Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
4.Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
5.Statistical Knowledge:
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
6.Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
7.Problem-Solving:
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
8.Time Management:
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
9.Continuous Learning:
- Eagerness to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
