Primary Responsibilities:

  • Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support business decision-making
  • Data Querying and Transformation: Write and optimize advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources, including Snowflake
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable visualizations and insights
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from APIs, Azure Data Factory pipelines, and external sources to enhance reporting capabilities
  • Visualization Best Practices: Apply data visualization principles to ensure clarity, accuracy, and usability of reports
  • Data Quality: Implement data transformation and cleansing processes to maintain data integrity and reliability
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage, and pipeline documentation
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data engineering, cloud platforms, and analytics
  • Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues
  • Data Management and Governance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies, maintain security standards, and manage access controls for sensitive data
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Power BI or Tableau Expertise: Intermediate to advanced experience in Power BI or Tableau development
  • Data Visualization: Solid understanding of visualization techniques and best practices
  • SQL Proficiency: Demonstrated solid ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, preferably in Snowflake or Azure
  • Adaptability: Proven quick learner with the ability to adopt new tools and technologies
  • Problem-Solving: Proven solid analytical and critical-thinking skills and can identify patterns or anomalies in the data
  • Communication: Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • API Integration: Experience with integrating data from APIs
  • Learning Analytics: Experience working with learning and development data
  • Data Modelling and Dashboard Development: Experience in creating effective data models and interactive/robust dashboards using Power BI or Tableau
  • Cloud Knowledge: Basic understanding of Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Python Skills: Familiarity with Python for data manipulation and automation
  • ETL Concepts: Knowledge of data pipelines and ETL processes
