We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst with at least 5 years of professional expertise in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and skilled at working across diverse teams and time zones. This role requires strong technical proficiency in Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, and Jira, as well as the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect, clean, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of all data handled.
- Work effectively with global stakeholders across multiple time zones.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support continuous improvement of BI processes, tools, and data pipelines.
- Utilize Jira to manage tasks, track progress, and collaborate across projects.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and managing databases.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (advanced dashboards, DAX, data modeling).
- Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouses.
- Familiarity with Jira for project and workflow management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear narratives.
- Proven track record of collaboration, responsibility, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to work with international teams across different time zones.
- Background in nonprofit organizations or fundraising data is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel (formulas, macros).
