Data Analyst Intern

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to help us turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. You will support our data team by collecting and interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional data storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection: Assist in gathering the data from primary or secondary sources and maintaining internal databases.
- Reporting & Dashboard: Help to design and update automated reports and visual dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Quality Assurance: Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets; locate and correct code problems by reviewing data reports.
- Technical Support: Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Optimization: Help identify process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing data-driven solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Tools: Basic proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and SQL.
- Visualization: Familiarity with the tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python-based visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical findings to non-technical team members clearly.
- Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
