Data Analyst Healthcare Domain
Location: Remote (12 days/month onsite at any HCL office)
Shift: 11:00 AM 9:00 PM IST

We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Data Analyst to support large-scale data modeling, analysis, and integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with healthcare systems and data frameworks, along with strong technical expertise in SQL, modeling tools, and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Data Modeling & Architecture
- Collaborate with data modelers to design conceptual, logical, and physical models aligned to IBM UDMH
- Create and maintain source-to-target mapping documents and data lineage
- Extend IBM UDMH models to meet custom requirements for Ascension or similar healthcare organizations
Data Analysis & Profiling
- Perform detailed data profiling across EHR/healthcare systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, and Oracle FDI
- Assess data granularity, volume, quality, and refresh frequency
- Identify data gaps, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and define subject-area data models
- Ensure alignment with enterprise data modeling standards and naming conventions
- Maintain metadata documentation and support data governance processes
Tools & Technologies
- Experience using ER/Studio, ERwin, or PowerDesigner for data modeling
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, and Unix for ETL scripting and data transformation
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
Preferred Background
- Prior experience in the healthcare domain is mandatory
- Strong understanding of healthcare datasets, standards, and interoperability concepts
