Data Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong domain knowledge in areas such as facilities or subsea engineering, operations, or logistics. In this role, you will act as a crucial link between asset teams and our technology group, using your advanced analytical skills and proficiency in Python and SQL to provide actionable, data-driven insights. You will proactively identify opportunities to improve existing standards and influence business decisions by presenting your findings to peers and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Apply your deep statistical skills and data manipulation capabilities to clean, preprocess, and analyze both structured and unstructured data. You will provide actionable, data-driven insights that help solve practical business problems.
• Technical Development: Develop data visualizations using tools like Microsoft Power BI or Spotfire to analyze and interrogate large datasets. You will write and maintain moderately sophisticated data pipelines and apply your knowledge of analytics and data pipelining tools throughout the data lifecycle.
• Business Engagement: Proactively identify impactful opportunities for data analysis and autonomously complete projects. You will use your business insight to influence decision-making and present results to both peers and senior management.
• Domain Expertise: Combine your in-depth understanding of a relevant domain (e.g., facilities engineering, logistics) with your data analytics skills to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
• Self-Management: Demonstrate a well-organized and self-motivated approach, balancing proactive and reactive tasks to complete multiple priorities on time. You will apply sound judgment and common sense to inform your actions.
