Data Analyst Job Description
Key Responsibilities
· Implement, maintain, and optimize digital tracking solutions across web and mobile applications using Google Tag Manager (Web & Server-Side) and Google Analytics 4
· Lead and support server-side tracking implementations, including consent-aware data collection, event forwarding, and performance optimization
· Translate business, analytics, and technical requirements into scalable and maintainable tracking implementations
· Partner closely with front-end, back-end, and mobile app developers to define and implement data layer architecture
· Support media teams by implementing and validating advertising pixels to ensure accurate campaign performance tracking and measurement
· Create, document, and maintain data layer specifications and tracking frameworks for web and mobile platforms
· Own tracking governance across GTM and GA4, including event taxonomy, naming conventions, parameter definitions, and environment structures
· Validate and QA tracking implementations using debugging and testing tools, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
· Proactively monitor tracking performance and identify data collection issues before they impact reporting
· Support tracking migrations, enhancements, and re-architecture initiatives, including client-side to server-side transitions
· Ensure tracked data correctly supports dashboards, reporting, and experimentation use cases
· Maintain clear and up-to-date tracking documentation, implementation guidelines, and governance standards
Skill & Experience Requirements
· 35 years of experience in Digital Analytics, Tracking Implementation, or Analytics Engineering
· Strong hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Web & Server-Side)
· Proven experience with server-side tracking architectures and modern event-based tracking models
· Hands-on experience with mobile app tracking (native or hybrid frameworks)
· Solid understanding of data layer design and implementation for web and mobile applications
· Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and exploration
· Familiarity with analytics debugging, testing, and QA tools
· Strong attention to detail with a data quality and governance mindset
· Ability to work cross-functionally with developers, analytics, CRO, and marketing teams
· Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
