Consumer Product - Experience Data

Shift time: 11:00 AM - 8:30 PM IST and 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM IST (with monthly rotations)

Reporting to the Associate Director, Value & Insights, the Data Scientist is an individual contributor who applies advanced analytics to guide strategy and investment decisions for the Experience Data Platform. This role turns complex platform and business questions into structured analytical problems and delivers insights that shape how we design, modernize, and operate the platform.

The Data Scientist defines and maintains key performance, cost, utilization, and adoption metrics aligned to business outcomes develops analytical and predictive models that support capacity planning, incident analysis, and optimization and builds automated reporting and decision-support tools for senior stakeholders. The role also leads recurring and ad hoc deep-dive analyses and modeling efforts to answer stakeholder questions, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, assess the impact of different scenarios, and translate those findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product managers, engineers, and other decision-makers.


Success in this role requires solid proficiency in statistics and data science techniques, familiarity with modern cloud-based data environments, and effective use of AI/ML tools and platforms. The Data Scientist must be able to frame ambiguous problems analytically, select and implement appropriate methods, validate and interpret results, and communicate complex insights in ways that influence platform roadmaps, funding decisions, and day-to-day product and engineering priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Use statistics, machine learning, AI techniques, programming, and data modeling to recognize patterns, spot opportunities, and uncover actionable insights in platform and business data
  • Manage and manipulate data from cloud-based data management and analytics platforms to support advanced analysis, modeling, and reporting for the Experience Data Platform
  • Define and maintain standardized performance, cost, utilization, and adoption metrics aligned to business and platform objectives
  • Build, automate, and maintain analytical dashboards, reports, and decision-support tools that provide executive-ready visibility into platform health and value
  • Develop and maintain predictive and optimization models to support capacity planning, incident analysis, reliability, and cost-efficiency improvements
  • Conduct descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product managers and other decision-makers
  • Support development and application of value and ROI frameworks to evaluate platform capabilities and modernization investments
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Finance, and the Program & Partner Enablement lead to link insights and models to decisions and track realized value against strategic goals
  • Prepare and deliver analysis, modeling results, and presentations for senior stakeholders and cross-functional forums
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve data science methods, tooling, and automation used by the Value & Insights team

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in data analysis, with the ability to translate complex business problems into analytical and data-driven solutions.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Databricks, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), including large-scale data processing and model development.
  • 8+ years of expertise with Power BI and Snowflake, including semantic modeling, DAX, dashboard development, and cloud data warehousing performance tuning
  • Experience defining and managing performance, cost, utilization, and adoption metrics aligned to platform and business objectives
  • Proficiency with United AI Studio or an equivalent AI platform
  • Solid expertise in AI/ML, including statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, predictive analytics, optimization models, model validation, and operationalization (MLflow/feature store)
  • Solid foundation in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, and building end-to-end analytical solutions
  • Proven ability to create automated dashboards, reporting solutions, and decision-support tools for senior leadership
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Architecture teams, with a focus on actionable insights and value realization
