Job Summary
ERBrains is looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to join our D365 F&O delivery team. You will be responsible for developing high-quality technical solutions, customizations, and integrations to meet specific client requirements. This role requires a hands-on developer with strong architectural thinking who can work independently and deliver robust code within project timelines. You will define scalable D365 F&O architecture for multi-legal entity rollouts, manufacturing environments, and integration-heavy landscapes.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Architecture & Solution Ownership: Define scalable D365 F&O architecture for multi-legal entity rollouts, manufacturing environments, and integration-heavy landscapes.
- Design integration strategy using API-first approach and define ISV evaluation and governance.
- Design, develop, and test technical solutions in D365 F&O using X++ extensions through all project phases from Analysis to Go-Live.
- Develop new custom modules based on unique client business requirements that cannot be met with standard functionality.
- Customize standard forms, tables, and reports to meet specific business requirements.
- Develop and maintain complex reports, invoice formats, packing slips, and other print formats using SSRS and Electronic Reporting (GER).
- Integration Leadership (Critical): Design and implement integrations with 3rd party applications including CRM, WMS, EDI, payment gateways, shipping carriers, and legacy systems using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus), OData, Custom APIs, REST/SOAP APIs, and external portals.
- Implement data entities and utilize the Data Management Framework (DMF) for data migration and integration.
- Build and consume APIs/OData endpoints for third-party integrations with strong expertise in Azure services.
- Perform code builds, deployments to UAT environments, and manage code merging in Azure DevOps.
- Conduct performance tuning of code and SQL queries to ensure system efficiency.
- Debug and resolve technical issues reported during testing or production phases.
- Create Technical Design Documents (TDD)based on functional specifications.
- Provide technical support during UAT and post-go-live phases.
- Provide guidance on D365 F&O licensing from a technical perspective including server requirements and user access configurations.
- Stay updated with the latest D365 F&O updates, platform changes, and deprecated features.
- Collaborate with the functional team to validate technical feasibility of requirements.
Required Skill Set
Programming: Strong proficiency in X++, C#, and .NET framework with experience in custom module development and Extensions framework.
Database: Solid knowledge of SQL Server,T-SQL, and database performance optimization.
Reporting: Strong expertise in developing custom SSRS Reports, invoice formats, shipping documents, and configuring Electronic Reporting (GER).
Data Management: Expertise in Data entities, Batch jobs, and DMF (Data Management Framework).
IDE:Proficiency in Visual Studio with Dynamics 365 extension development tools.
DevOps: Experience with Azure DevOps for version control (Git/TFVC) and work item tracking.
Integration Leadership (Critical): Must have strong hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus), OData, Custom APIs, REST/SOAP APIs, Integration patterns, and external portal development.
Azure Services: Strong expertise in Azure services and cloud-based integrations.
Industry Experience: Proven experience working with Manufacturing, Trading & Distribution industries. Experience with multi-legal entity deployments and global rollouts preferred.
Licensing Knowledge: Understanding of D365 F&O licensing models and technical configuration of user access.
Project Lifecycle: Experience working through complete project phases from Analysis to Go-Live.
Soft Skills: Strong client communication, ability to handle pressure delivery timelines, ownership mindset, and proactive approach to learning.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MCA, or Engineering.
Experience: 5-7 years of hands-on technical experience in Dynamics AX/D365 F&O with proven experience in Manufacturing industry projects.
Integration & Customization: Demonstrated experience in 3rd party integrations, new module development, and API-first integration approach. Strong experience with Azure Integration Services is critical.
Architecture Experience: Proven ability to define scalable architecture for multi-legal entity environments, manufacturing deployments, and integration-heavy landscapes.
Project Phases: Must have worked through complete project lifecycles from Analysis to Go-Live in at least 2-3 implementations.
Core Technical Skills: Strong expertise in X++, Extensions framework, SSRS, Data entities, Batch jobs, Integration patterns, and Azure services.
Preferred Industry Experience: Manufacturing, Trading & Distribution, Multi-entity consolidation environments.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate.
Technical Assessment: Proficiency in X++ coding,debugging, and integration architecture will be tested.
Soft Skills: Strong client communication, ability to handle pressure delivery timelines, ownership mindset.
Adaptability: Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously if required.
